The conversion of existing general classrooms into innovative science laboratories. 

A new three-story lift shaft was annexed to the building to provide all students with access to this new facility.

Existing classrooms required significant services upgrades to facilitate new work at bench science experiments. Safety upgrades included new pressure emergency eye wash facilities, emergency gas isolation valves and high-speed air extraction.

The refurbished classrooms have afforded the college an opportunity to implement a new science pedagogy on their Altona North campus.
